Job description

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Sales or Lettings Negotiator to join our client's independent estate agent in Colchester as a Business Development Executive.

The Business Development Executive role is pivotal in generating warm leads for both our sales and lettings through effective client interaction and relationship building.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong brand presence with all leads. They will report to the Director of Sales & Lettings and drive new business growth.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Achieve new business targets by generating leads for the Sales & Lettings team, facilitating their conversion into new clients
  • Promote a comprehensive range of services, fostering high-quality referrals to support team success.
  • Identify and cultivate new leads, fostering relationships with both prospects and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Sales & Lettings Director to develop strategies for introducing new products and generating leads.
  • Devise strategies to target various client categories through social media, funnel management, and collaboration with the Business Development Team.
  • Create and review digital marketing processes to target new clients.
  • Work with the Director of Sales & Lettings onboarding multiple new instructions and or new acquisitions.

Our client is looking for:

  • High achieving Sales or Lettings Negotiators
  • An in-depth knowledge of sales funnels and the targeting of prospective clients through social media marketing
  • A detailed understanding of lettings and sales
  • Comprehensive understanding of the different services offered across the company, including Leasehold & Estate Management
  • Versatility to communicate effectively at all levels and across the company
  • Highly organised, with good time management skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Adaptable, with a willingness to learn and to suggest improvements to strategy or services to maximise return on investment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

In return, our client offers:

  • A basic salary of £22,000 - £24,000 pa (DOE)
  • Realistic 1st year OTE of £35,000 pa
  • Un-capped commission available on lettings, sales, estate management, and block management
