Q Recruitment is working in partnership with an independent estate agency to recruit an experienced Property Inspector. The successful candidate will inspect properties located in Colchester, Braintree, Sudbury & surrounding villages.

We are looking for someone with a passion for the lettings sector to evaluate the overall condition of the managed property portfolio and process repairs as required. This is a niche role ideally suited to somebody who has worked in the property sector in some capacity, ideally having a background in lettings.

Duties will include:

• Establish professional relationships with landlords and tenants
• Providing regular feedback to landlords
• Aid Property Managers where required
• Record and process repairs as required
• Organise and carry out routine visits
• Produce all reports via Inventory Base
• Ensure all notes are timely and accurate
• Liaise with and support Deposit Progressor with TDS claims
• Maintain service following company service levels, core values, and behaviours

The knowledge base required:

• Have an understanding of FFHH, HHSRS regulations, and Sec 11 of Landlord & Tenant Act
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to be empathetic, supportive
• Smart and presentable
• Knowledge of the property management and inspection processes
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive relationship with clients and colleagues and other third parties
• Strong organisational skills
• Good observational skills
• Full clean driving licence
