An exciting opportunity has arisen for a TENANT LIAISON MANAGER to join one of Southampton's largest and most innovative property investors and private landlords. The company has continuously enhanced the traditional lettings model for students by raising the bar and making the student accommodation experience ever more appealing and better value.

The Company:

The current portfolio numbers over 200 properties with our client providing fully maintained accommodation to over 1000 residents in Southampton and Portsmouth.

The Candidate:

The suitable candidate will be a graduate with a good degree. Some residential property management experience will be useful but is not essential; candidates do not necessarily have to come from a property background. Candidates with experience in areas requiring team management, or areas such as the hotel industry, hospitality, leisure, serviced apartments, and property management among others will all be considered.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be managing a portfolio of 200 properties and 1000 tenants located in Southampton and Portsmouth. Duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Being responsible for managing the accommodation and the Building & Maintenance Team of between 8 and 16 tradespeople
  • Maintaining excellent communication with tenants, parents and client investors
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the property portfolio and advising on improvements
  • Undertaking tenant viewings of the property portfolio as necessary
  • Managing all portfolio maintenance requirements
  • Assisting in renovation and building plans and schedules
  • Ordering materials and chasing contracted suppliers
  • Liaising with the building teams; overseeing the snagging and signing off of building projects
  • Liaising with and providing reassurance, guidance and updates to client landlords about contracted build projects
  • Establishing an excellent professional standing among the tenant base
  • Being alive to every issue and how those issues are reported on social media, with a view to rectifying matters as required.

You Will Need:

  • To be educated to a degree level
  • Will ideally have experience of working in a maintenance and/or building sector
  • A desire to develop design and building knowledge with a view to run medium-scale building projects
  • A natural interest in and enjoyment of building and design
  • Be able to prioritize, and understand cash-flow sensitivities and constraint
  • Be an able and inspiring team leader
  • Write linguistically and grammatically correct emails and be a good face-to-face communicator
  • Keep excellent records with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Develop professional relationships with company clients and suppliers
  • Work proficiently with a range of IT software packages
  • Possession of a full clean UK driving licence
