Job description

Our client requires a Senior Lettings Lister tojoin the team in Braintree to build and grow the current lettings portfolio. Although the role will predominantly be based In Braintree, the successful candidate will also be covering lettings valuations for the Kelvedon office.

Senior Lettings Lister Responsibilities will be to seek out new instructions via all forms of prospecting including embracing software, social media, direct touting and leafleting

  • Create and run landlord club to entice landlords to expand lettings portfolio
  • Organise and attend landlord evenings in branch
  • Negotiate prices/fees and or other terms of business
  • Secure instructions via signed terms of business
  • Create property details
  • Regularly review applicant database, to categorise "hot" applicants
  • Email and call out new instructions
  • Maximise board presence
  • Advise clients on market conditions, rental values, legal requirements and related matters
  • Book and attend valuations and viewings and feedback to clients
  • Review and sign off all lets before passing to the contracts team
  • Facilitate tenancy sign up, securing all signed documentation and fees received
  • Liaise with the property management team to secure inventories, safety certificates, EICR and EPC's
  • Upsell Landlord Insurance and other alternative income streams
  • Work with the Head of Sales & Lettings preparing Annual Budgets
  • Retain statistics and prepare monthly reports


The successful Senior Lettings Lister will need to have at least 1-2 years' experience as a lettings negotiator with a track record of achieving targets

  • Preferably ARLA licensed but not essential
  • Self-starter, who relishes challenges and strives for the best
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Power Point, Word, etc
  • Have a flexible approach to work
  • Have an ability to multi-task
  • Be adaptable and a good team player
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy environment as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • You will also have an in-depth understanding of all letting's legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence
