Job description

An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Property Manager to oversee the management of a residential property portfolio in Rayleigh. Due to the size of the portfolio, the role is part-time (up to 25 hours per week).

The Property Manager duties will include:

  • Answer the telephone in a prompt, positive, professional & friendly manner
  • Attending to & manage property repair issues in a timely, organised and pro active manner
  • Obtaining repair quotes/ estimates from contractors where required
  • Liaise with tenants & contractors ensuring repairs are undertaken protectively and within a specified time
  • Carry out property inspections
  • Arrange renewal annually of gas & electric safety certificates
  • Ensure all relevant documentation such as inventories, renewals etc and filed promptly in paper files
  • Deal with any requests such as rent reviews, renewals & end of tenancy procedures
  • Handle deposit disputes
  • Carry out checking in and out procedures

The suitable Property Manager will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years Property Manager or Lettings Administration experience
  • Organise, prioritise & undertake work in an efficient & logical manner
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Must have good IT literacy, familiar with Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Sound problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills

This Property Manager vacancy offers the right candidate a lot of flexibility:

  • Hours/ days are negotiable, but ideally, our client requires 25 hours per week
  • Hourly rate of 12 - 14 (depending on experience)
  • Ability to work part home-based / remotely
